Description

These Sweet Vanilla Hemp Protein Waffles make for a great post-workout breakfast recipe. Amazing flavor and wonderful nutrition.


Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 cup tapioca flour
  • 1/2 cup Hemp Protein Powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt
  • 1 medium apple, peeled, cored and sliced
  • 4 eggs
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp melted coconut oil
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix tapioca flour, protein powder, baking soda, cinnamon and salt. Set aside.
  2. Add apple slices, eggs, honey, vanilla and coconut oil to a food processor and process until smooth. Pour over bowl with dry ingredients and mix until no lumps remain.
  3. Cook per waffle maker instructions. Batter should yield 5 waffles, so divide accordingly.
  4. Serve right away with favorite toppings, or refrigerate for up to 4 days.
