I have one more smoothie recipe for you guys. I created this one over the weekend. I call it: Strawberry Sunshine Smoothie. Not only does it look like a glass full of sunshine, but it tastes like sunshine would if you could drink it. After this one, I promise I won’t post more smoothie recipes for another month or two. I’ve had nothing but smoothie recipes for the last week. They’re just so good though, I can’t get enough.
Talking about not getting enough…during lunch break, my husband and I went to Whole foods and got ourselves some delicious, all natural (you guessed it) smoothies. It was hands down the best meal I’ve had today. Nothing like a nice cold smoothie when the sun’s shining. Boise has been sunnier lately and the days are in fact getting longer, but we still have cold winds. Is it warm where you live? If not, I hope you get some spring love soon.
I’ve been wearing my flip flops everyday for the past week, and to be honest, I’m afraid I might catch a cold. You see, it’s not exactly flip-flop weather yet. But guess what? I have my healthy smoothies to protect me…they’ll keep my immune system in check. No colds for me. Drink your fruits and veggies, people.

I made these for “dessert” this evening after my husband and I had salad for dinner. They were delicious! I didn’t use the frozen banana b/c all I had were regular bananas, but the texture of the ice and the orange pulp is amazing! Also, my husband and I split the recipe and it was plenty for us. At only 133 calories/person since we split it, I’d say this is a go-to sweet treat! Thanks for sharing!
Hi Sara! 🙂 That’s great to hear…I’m so glad you two enjoyed the smoothie! And yeah, only 133 calories…not to shabby for a treat, ey?! 😉
Wow! Great recipe! Simple yet just loaded with nutrients!
