Ingredients
Units
Scale
- 2 lb ground turkey
- 1/3 cup purified water
- 1 tbsp black pepper(or, to taste)
- 1 tbsp sea salt(or, to taste)
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp chipotle chili powder
- 1 tbsp red pepper flakes
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp Herbes de Provence spice
- Finely diced green onions, for garnishing
- Optional: 1/2 tsp lemon pepper
Instructions
- Place a skillet over medium heat, and add in ground turkey and purified water. Break down the ground meat using a wooden spoon. Mix in the rest of the ingredients. Cook for about 15-20 minutes, or until your turkey meat is no longer pink.
- Let cool for a bit and top with green onions. Serve right away.
Notes
- You can eat this by itself, with a side dish (Brussels sprouts go great with it), or my favorite, in a lettuce wrap.
- For the lettuce wrap: Spoon turkey on lettuce leaves, add shredded carrots, mushrooms, green onions and sprinkle almonds on top; proceed by folding the lettuce sides over the filling and roll up.
