Description

Learn how to prepare a 3-Ingredient Caramel Sauce; easy, quick and healthy for the family.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda

Instructions

  1. Add maple syrup and honey to a saucepan, place it over medium heat and stir constantly. Once mixture begins to warm up, reduce heat to medium-low. Do not let mixture boil, if boiling happens, start over as caramel will have a burnt taste.
  2. After stirring for about 10 minutes, the sauce will have thickened a bit. Remove from heat, quickly mix in baking soda and return pan to low heat for 3 minutes, stirring constantly.
  3. Remove from heat and let cool. Serve right away or store in a jar with a lid.
  4. Keep in tight container in a cool area. Lasts 1 week.
