Chocolate Date Granola Bar

Chocolate Date Granola Bar

Who here loves chocolate? If that’s you, then you’re in luck. This Chocolate Date Granola Bar will make your tastebuds sing.

These bars have a hint of coconut and are plenty sweet; if you dig coconut, chocolate and all things sweet, then I definitely recommend you go to your kitchen and start making these right away.

They take hardly anytime at all to make and you can store each granola bar separately by covering each with plastic wrap (cover each bar all the way around, so that it keeps it tight). Eat them on the go or at home along with your favorite cup of joe.

  1. I made these! I went off-book a little and they didn’t stick together but I ate it as granola with almond milk and it tasted yummy! Great idea, I’ve been looking for a tasty, gluten-free alternative snack.

  2. Any way to leave out the honey and have these stick together? Would egg instead of the honey make them stick? I am looking for a very low sugar/low fructose option.

    1. Hi there Carolyn. The honey is really the binding agent here, so I personally would not remove the honey. If you replace it with eggs, I am not sure the taste will be as great and the consistency might be kind of funny.
