In this series I am featuring 7 Paleo Thanksgiving Recipes (5 of 7) – Paleo Gravy. This Paleo Gravy recipe is light and full of flavor; a good for you option for Thanksgiving that won’t make you feel heavy.

- 2 medium white onions, chopped
- 5 garlic cloves, grated
- 1 quart low-sodium chicken broth
- 1 tbsp coconut aminos
- 2 tbsp organic unsalted ghee
- 1 tbsp organic thyme, chopped
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
Instructions
- Add broth, onions, garlic and thyme to a saucepan, and bring to a boil. Lower heat, add In salt, pepper and coconut aminos, and let simmer for 30 minutes, or until the onions are soft.
- Remove from heat, add in ghee and use a hand blender to blend thoroughly until it liquifies. Serve right away.
Notes
- Feel free to add full fat coconut milk if you want a creamier gravy.
